话说金银腰带，是长什么样子的呢 ？那为什么又会有金银腰带出现呢 ？这是因为从前的娘惹们都很富裕，所以就委托了当地的金银工匠来打造。可是从前的金银价格也不必现在的来的高，所以家里的娘惹们都会有无数的金银腰带来配搭上Sarong。同是为什么会有金或银的腰带呢 ？是因为越富有的峇峇家族就会打造金腰带给娘惹配搭，当出席节日时就可以戴上给大家知道有多富裕。娘惹们也不只有戴金腰带而已，同时也有银腰带。可是银腰带都会在家里戴上而已，也有些峇峇家族不算是很富裕的就会打造银腰带。

金银腰带的设计有所不同，设计里普遍的会常见到的是凤或鸟。为什么呢 ？这是因为峇峇娘惹认为凤是鸟中之王，也表示了自己的地位。同时比较稀有的设计是有麒麟或其他的图案。除此之外腰带的粗大和设计也有不同，有些是3条或5条。不同设计是在腰带上订上花模或其他型状。
