Haha~ Sorry for being late to explore the Nyonya culture. This episode is different from the previous episodes. How is it different? This is the gathering to learn about the secrets of Baba Nyonya ceramics"

Recently, I have received very rare Nyonya porcelain. The color of the porcelain is very special, and it is not very common in the market. This is the ceramic in Olive green color. Why is it called Olive green? Because it doesn't look like turquoise green, this color looks little green + brown. So the burned color looks like olive green.

This color is usually matched with powder blue in the Eight Auspicious Signs endemic. Because the color of olive green is very dark, it should be matched with light colors. It won’t look miss match, and the colors looks beautifully matched. At the same time, it is not easy to adjust the color of Olive green, because it needs to be adjusted by a few percent of green + a few percent of brown. Once a mistake is made, the color burned out will become ugly. Therefore, ceramics of this color are not often seen in the market, and it can also be said that they are rare ceramics with a color base.

At the same time, the old Baba told me old time, his family used small bowls for dessert. So for me this is a rare Nyonya ceramic, but for old Baba, it is a kind of memories and past story.
